One of the goals of the trip was to find a forever home for Loren. Unfortunately she has found her soulmutt yet but we haven’t given up hope that it will happen.

And either has Michelle. In fact she is doing more to raise awareness on the plight of shelter dogs and money for The Brittany Foundation. She’ll be spending 24 hours in Loren’s kennel, unless you sponsor them at, …$1 per minute…for “A Day In Their Paws” on November 7. If they get out early enough, Michelle will take Loren out to dinner and an overnight stay at a nice motel.

You can make a donation via Paypal at the Brittany Foundation’s website – scroll down until you see their photo, then use the donate button at right. Or you can make a donation to any of the other teams.

On the “Day In Their Paws” on November 7 at the Brittany Foundation they will also be giving sanctuary tours, have a raffle and silent auction as well as vendors like Cookie Lee Jewelry, and refreshments from Margo’s Bark.

Also DogOscopes is still donating $1 from the retail sale of our Pet ID Tags to the Brittany Foundation until the end of the year.

Learn more about the “Day In Their Paws” and Michelle and Loren.

My brother-in-law and his wife have been planning on getting a dog for a while. And last weekend they headed out to the Seattle Humane Society and were surprised to find their soulmutt on their first visit. Charlie is a one year old Australian Shepherd mix who is very friendly, energetic, and tends to snore when he sleeps. He was picked up as a stray, but must have had a good home at some point because he’s housebroken and responds fairly well to basic commands.
