Last year DogOscopes was proud to be one of the sponsors of Michelle and Loren’s two month cross country road trip to promote and educate individuals about dog rescue and adoption. One of the goals was also to find a forever home for Loren. Michelle blogged about their journey from the road and ultimately their travels will make up a book “Dog Days Afternoons: Crossing the Country with my Favorite Pit Bull.”

Unfortunately a few of the adoptions fell through but now it looks like third times a charm. According to Michelle’s Facebook page, Loren has been delivered to Stefan, her new daddy, a chef in Studio City, CA. And it really seems to be a love match with Stefan and Loren finding their Soulmutt. The best was saved for last for Loren, in this case. And Stefan said Michelle can visit any time!

DogOscopes wishes the best to Stefan and Loren …. Happy ever after to all both of you.

Last year, DogOscopes sponsored a two month cross country trip to promote and educate individuals about dog rescue and adoption. On May 15, 2009, Michelle Sathe and her trusty partner in crime Loren the Pit Bull went on their adventure. Michelle blogged about their journey from the road and ultimately their travels will make up a book “Dog Days Afternoons: Crossing the Country with my Favorite Pit Bull.”

Well they on the road again. So far they have enjoyed some fish tacos at Crazy Coyote Tacos in Banning, TX; stopped and smelled the flowers at a walk around a lake; and finally made it to Cajun country in Lafayette, LA., for an overnight on a comfy king sized bed.

Follow their adventures on the blog. (Michelle promised on Facebook to update with a long post today.)

Earlier this year, DogOscopes was proud to help sponsor Michelle and Loren’s big road trip across country – 29 states in 50 days – to promote pit bull awareness and homeless pet adoption.

Once they returned home, Loren was still looking for a forever home and had to return to her kennel at The Brittany Foundation.

But we are happy to report that Loren may have a Christmas and New Year’s miracle ….

Loren was dropped off to her new foster/potential adoptive family on Dec. 21, 2009, just in time for Christmas.
According to Michelle’s Facebook, “She promptly ran around the house like a spaz…Nancy said she seemed really happy to be there. Then she took a break to make out with the mom. Smart girl. If mama ain’t happy, nobody’s happy. Go Loren!”

As you can see from the photos the Loren seems to be basking in the glow of being part of a family that loves and understands her … hopefully this will be her forever home … we will keep you posted.

But what a great rescue story to start 2010. Happy New Year from DogOscopes.
