Are you looking for your soulmutt? Well then meet Bigsby, a 3 year old, Tri-color, Saint Bernard male. He is house trained, not destructive and knows basic obedience commands. A typical gentle giant who doesn’t realize how big he is, loves to play, lounge around and go on car rides. He is good with other dogs, cats, and kids.
Bigsby was turned into rescue by his owners because they were no longer able to give him the attention he deserves between their busy schedules and a new baby.
Bigsby was recently diagnosed with a completely torn plantar ligament in his carpus and is not candidate for surgery due to his size. After a visit to Orthopets, he has been fitted with a fancy new brace which helps him to cruise around pain free.
Big Dogs – Huge Paws Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding forever homes for unwanted giant breed dogs that have been mistreated and/or abandoned. Every dog is evaluated medically and behaviorally and placed according to their special needs. Currently they are adopting out regionally in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming but will soon outreach nationally.
If you are interested in adopting Bigsby or another giant breed dog, start your search for your soulmutt by reading the adoption requirements and guidelines and then check out dogs available for adoption.
